HellRaisers have just defeated PixelFire in a best-of three thriller to advance to the semis in Bucharest (9-16 on de_mirage, 16-14 on de_inferno, 16-14 on de_overpass).

The winners' match in PGL Regional Minor Championship Europe hosted HellRaisers, who beat Lemondogs, and PixelFire who eased past DenDD. The best-of-three series kicked off on de_mirage with PixelFire on the T-side.

HR clinched the pistol round, only losing one player. PixelFire were not able to close out the second round despite a 4v2 advantage. André "⁠BARBARR⁠" Möller earned his team a round with an incredible 1v3 clutch in the first gun round which started a three round streak (3-3).

BARBARR starred with a marvelous 30-kill performance on the first map

Emil "⁠kUcheR⁠" Akhundov prevented a quad-kill from Benjamin "⁠tabu⁠" Vangstrup, winning a 1v1 clutch with three health points, bringing the score to 5-3 in favor of his team. tabu didn't let this get to his head though, as he managed to win in a 1v1 in the following round.

The 1v1 situations kept emerging with Kirill "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow taking the lead for his team once again with a clutch (6-5). At the halftime HR was ahead with a 9-6 score but PixelFire began the second half vigorously, winning the first seven rounds, despite HR planting the bomb in the first six rounds (13-9).

A timeout didn't help ANGE1's team as PixelFire had an eleven round win streak to close it out 16-9.

The second battleground was de_inferno and it started with PixelFire’s dominant pistol play. The frustrated HR players forced up in the following two rounds, damaging their economy greatly. Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný & co's first fully equiped round was the fifth one but they were not able to win it as they trailed 5-0.

After losing sixteen rounds consecutively in the series, HR finally picked up the sixth round of de_inferno. After opening up, they didn't stop and finished off the half 9-6 ahead, just like on de_mirage. The second half's start once again saw PixelFire winning the first four rounds, taking the lead 10-9.

HellRaisers showed composure in the long series 

tabu and Viktor "⁠flashie⁠" Tamás Bea's 2v4 victory brought the score to 14-14 but HR were able to grab the next two rounds, winning the map and ensuring a third map which was de_overpass.

The third map witnessed yet another strong start from the CT-sided PixelFire who took the pistol round and the following two rounds. HR did not let this affect their morale and picked up five rounds in a row in a convincing fashion (5-3).

Bence "⁠DeadFox⁠" Böröcz & co were determined not to let their opponents run away with it and closed out the half 8-7 in front. PixelFire's five round streak to start the second half was met with HellRaisers' three rounds, bringing the score to 13-10. 

Patrik "⁠Zero⁠" Žúdel stepped it up near the end to tie the game with a 1v1 and then a quad-kill (14-14). HR seized the opportunity and finished off their rivals 16-14.
