Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev will not play for Liquid at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Austin, the player has revealed on Twitter. The 18-year-old is poised to return to Ukraine for a brief period to sort out his visa paperwork after spending the last three months in the United States competing for Liquid. As a result, he is ruled out of the upcoming DreamHack Open event and could potentially miss the ESL Pro League Finals as well if Liquid manage to qualify for the event, which will take place from May 11-15 in London.
Scheduled for May 6-8, DreamHack ZOWIE Open Austin will feature eight teams, who will compete for their share of a $100,000 prize pool. Liquid, who finished 13th-16th at DreamHack Masters Malmö last week, have not yet commented on this matter. In theory, the team could attend the event in Austin with Eric "adreN" Hoag, who is still officially contracted to the organisation. The 25-year-old acted as a stand-in for Liquid at the qualifier for MLG Columbus and at the Major itself due to issues over Kenneth "koosta" Suen's eligibility.
